En Nuestros Corazones ( Spanish : “In our hearts” ) is a post-hardcore band from Buenos Aires , Argentina .
history
En Nuestros Corazones was founded in Buenos Aires , the capital of Argentina , in October 2010 and currently consists of Julio Bellver ( Screamings ), Federico E. Ramírez ( electric guitar ), Mauro Castro (electric guitar, programming ), Ariel Menta ( bass guitar ) and Tobias Gomez Antolini ( drums ). The latter is the brother of Nazareno Gomez Antolini, who is active as a lead singer at DENY . The group officially started as a private music project founded by Tobias Gomez and Nicolas Figueroa ( keyboard ). Figueroa is no longer active in the band.
The group has already played with Dar Sangre , Cenizas Coralies Last Kiss , Winter of Summer , Mi Ultima Solucion , All for Love and also with DENY. On December 12, 2011, the group played as the opening act for Silverstein at the Asbury Club in Buenos Aires. As early as November 15th, the group played as support for Parkway Drive .
En Nuestros Corazones are signed to the Argentine independent label Vegan Records and produced their debut album, which is called Un niño murió aquella noche and was released on September 16, 2012. The album was produced in the Infire Studios by Javier Casas (guitarist with Nueva Ética ). Guest musicians will be Joaquin Ortega from DENY and Alejandro from Melian . A music video was shot for the title Pesadillas . The video was produced by Nicolás Figueroa. The release party took place on September 16, 2012 in the Salon Pueyrredon in Buenos Aires . Nuevos Horizontes , La Furia En Tus Ojos and Kylla played as the support band . On March 24, 2013, the group presented their debut album at a concert in northern Buenos Aires. Valor Interior was there as support . The group took part in the Ringrocker Band Contest , where the group was voted into the top 50 and thus into the second round. The five best bands played the final on May 25, 2013 in the Matrix in Bochum, the winner, who was allowed to appear as a newcomer at Rock am Ring . In the community voting, the group came in 44th. The winners were the killer mushrooms from Dillingen .
The band played two shows with the Swedish band Anchor in Argentina during their South American tour. The group plans to move into the studio in early 2014 to work on the second album.
Music genre
The group itself describes their music as post-hardcore , which is influenced by the musical influences of metalcore . The speed of the sound ranges from slow and melodic parts to fast guitar riffs. The group also uses breakdowns . The lyrics are all in the national language of Argentina, Spanish . In an interview with Acá Pasan Cosas , drummer Tobias Gomez Antolini mentions both scene greats such as Attack Attack! As musical influences . , Parkway Drive , For the Fallen Dreams , My Ticket Home and Like Moths to Flames as well as national giants like DENY and Melian .
The debut album Un niño murió aquella noche is a concept album. The title, which in German means A child will die tonight , is to be understood metaphorically and describes the change from being a child to becoming a man.
