Ercan Özçelik

Ercan Özçelik (also: Ercan Oezcelik , born August 12, 1966 in Altınordu , Turkey ) is a German actor of Turkish origin.

Life

Özçelik came to Germany from Turkey in 1972 and grew up near Karlsruhe . He studied acting and graduated in 1988 with a diploma for drama and musical before the equal examination committee of the Badisches Staatstheater Karlsruhe in 1988. He subsequently worked as a theater and film actor. He studied the acting techniques of Jerzy Grotowski , Lee Strasberg and Dominique Defazio and took part in scriptwriting and directing seminars with Defazio and Yurek Bogayevicz. He studied film and theater studies at the Free University of Berlin . Özçelik teaches his version of acting in workshops, consisting of the technical elements of Defazio and Strasberg.

Ercan Özçelik played in numerous supporting and leading roles in film and television, for example in 2002/2003 the role of the Tatort police officer and later chief inspector Bülent Isi, at the side of Eva Mattes . The neurologist and natural healer Dr. Beroz in the RTL series OP calls Dr. Bruckner and the leading role in the movie The Disappearance (2016). He played a supporting role as Detective Metin alongside Jeff Goldblum in Hal Hartley's film Fay Grim (2006).
