Ernst Herz was an Austrian figure skater who started in a single run . He won the European figure skating championship in 1908 .

At the European Figure Skating Championships in 1906 , Herz was second behind Ulrich Salchow , third at the European Figure Skating Championships in 1907, and finally European Champion in 1908, ahead of Nikolai Panin . At the World Cup in 1909 he won the bronze medal behind the Swedes Ulrich Salchow and Per Thorén .
