Ernst Sylvius von Prittwitz
Ernst Sylvius von Prittwitz (* February 2 or January 13, 1729 or 1730 in Oels , Lower Silesia ; † July 6, 1800 in Rathenow near Berlin ) was a royal Prussian lieutenant general , adjutant general and inspector general for the cavalry .

Prittwitz came from the old, widely branched Silesian aristocratic dynasty of Prittwitz and was the son of Konsistorialpräsidenten , Württembergisch-Oelsnischen provincial governor and landowner Kaspar Leonhard Moritz Prittwitz , Mr. on the estates Schmoltschütz and Netsche ( Kr. On April 8, 1764, he married the widowed Johanna Christiane Anders (von Skrbensky?) (* 1739; † February 12, 1815).
Military background
At a young age, Prittwitz was initially in the Danish military service. After returning to the Prussian military he served in the Dragoon - Regiment No. 2 ( "Schwerin", later "of Blankensee") to the rank of captain (. Captain ) (1764).
During the Seven Years' War he took part in the battles, skirmishes and sieges of Prague , Striegau , Breslau , Leuthen , Liegnitz , Kunersdorf , Meißen , Freiberg , Dresden , Neisse and Lindewiese . He was wounded in the battle of Kunersdorf.
After the war, he has been a Brigade - Major in Remonte used. During this period of service he was shot in the pursuit of two deserters in Waldau .
In 1784 Prittwitz was promoted to colonel . On behalf of and on behalf of the sick King Friedrich Wilhelm II , he held a parade of the Silesian cavalry in 1786. Returning from this parade, he was appointed by the King as Adjutant General and Inspector General of the "Remonten".
In 1789 he became major general and in 1795 lieutenant general.
In the years 1764–1782 he owned the Maßlisch-Hammer estate in the Trebnitz district .
