Ernst Wollenberg
Ernst Gustav Wollenberg (born May 23, 1860 in Pelplin , Pommerellen , † May 27, 1946 in Saalhausen near Dresden ) was a German lawyer in the university administration.
Life
Wollenberg attended the Royal Wilhelms-Gymnasium (Königsberg) . After graduating from high school on March 4, 1878, he began to study law at the University of Leipzig . In 1878 he became active in Corps Guestphalia Leipzig . As inactive , he moved to the Albertus University of Königsberg for the winter semester of 1878/79 . As a student he is proven there until the winter semester 1880/81. In 1882 he began his legal clerkship . In 1887 he became a court assessor and then a public prosecutor in Allenstein and Königsberg i. Pr. From the administration of justice he switched to the internal administration of the Kingdom of Prussia . As a Councilor he came to government in Königsberg . In 1909 he was promoted to the senior government council and appointed department head of the church school department in Königsberg. He was also a university judge at Albertus University. In 1913 he was appointed full-time university judge and syndic of the Technical University of Charlottenburg and the Prussian State Library . During the First World War in 1918 he was head of the cultural department of the Military Administration of the Baltic States in Riga . In 1926 he held the office of curator of the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel for a short time . In 1931 he was chairman of the five Prussian chambers of experts for literary, artistic, musical, photographic and commercial copyright . Most recently he was administrative director of the Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universität Berlin .
Robert Wollenberg was a brother.
