Ethan Phillips (born February 8, 1955 in Garden City , Long Island , New York ) is an American actor and author .

Life

Phillips' father was the owner of the famous New York steakhouse Frankie and Johnnie’s . He grew up in Garden City as the only boy among five sisters. When he was seven, he and his mother watched the horror series Panic and was very shocked to see what was happening to the people there.
