European Ladies Team Cup
The European Ladies Team Cup (ELTC) was a table tennis competition for women’s national teams that are members of the European Table Tennis Association ETTU . It has been held annually in January since 1994. For the first time, higher prizes could be won in a women's tournament. The best European teams were invited. Six teams initially competed in two groups of three, each against each. The first and second in each group reached the semi-finals. A team fight was carried out according to the Corbillon Cup system, that is, a maximum of four singles and one doubles were played. If a team had scored three points, the fight was stopped.
1994 Dülmen
The first event took place from January 22nd to 23rd, 1994 in Dülmen in the triple gymnasium of the school center. Prize money of DM 10,500 was available. Shortly before the start of the tournament, Jie Schöpp canceled her participation, Christina Fischer was nominated for her . Nevertheless, the German team won the final against Hungary and won the tournament.

1995 Dülmen
The second event also took place in Dülmen. It was held from January 21 to 22, 1995 in the sports hall on the Bache. Prize money of DM 18,000 was available. Olga Nemes did not take part because of her pregnancy. Again the German team won the final against Romania.
Despite the 3-2 defeat at the start against Romania, Germany reached the semi-finals, where they defeated Hungary 3-2. The final against Romania was won 3-1.

1996 Coesfeld
The third event took place in Coesfeld . It was held from January 20 to 21, 1996 in the sports hall at the school center. Prize money of DM 18,500 was available. Again the German team won. The Russian Jelena Timina received the special price of 500 DM as the most successful player .
A total of 1,800 spectators came to the games.
In the group games, the German team won against the Netherlands and Romania and reached the semi-finals. Here it defeated Sweden 3-0. The final against Russia also ended with a 3-0 win. This was the first win against Russia since April 1982.

1997 Coesfeld
As in the previous year, the fourth event took place in Coesfeld . It was held from January 25th to 26th, 1997 in the sports hall at the school center. The prize money was increased to 26,000 DM. This time the Russian team defeated the German women's team in the final. The most successful player was the Russian Irina Palina .
It was criticized that several teams did not appear in the strongest line-up.
Nicole Struse was unable to participate because of an illness . Jie Schöpp did not achieve her normal form. In the group games, the German team won against England and lost to Russia (first defeat of the German women's national team after 22 wins in a row). That was enough to place 2. In the semifinals she defeated Hungary 3-0. In the final, the Germans were already leading 2-0, but were unable to avert the 3-2 defeat.

1998 Bremen
The fifth ELTC took place in Bremen . It was held from January 24th to 25th, 1998 in the Bremen City Hall . The prize money was DM 30,000. The German team won for the fourth time. As the most successful player, Elke Schall received the special prize of DM 1,000. A total of 1,600 spectators attended the event.
In Group A, the German team won 3-0 against Belarus and Sweden. After beating Hungary 3-1 in the semi-final, she prevailed 3-2 in the final against Sweden.

1999 Kleve
The sixth ELTC took place in Kleve . It was held from January 23 to 24, 1999 in the Kleve-Kellen sports hall . The prize money was DM 30,000. The German team won for the fifth time. As the most successful player, the Romanian Mihaela Steff received the special prize of 1,000 DM. The audience response fell short of the organizers' expectations; only 400 spectators attended the event on the second match day.
In Group A, the German team finished second after a 3-1 win over Sweden and a 2-3 defeat against Romania. So she reached the semi-finals, where she prevailed 3-0 against Hungary. In the final she defeated Russia 3-0 without losing a set.

2000 Hamm
The seventh ELTC took place in Hamm . It was held from January 22nd to 23rd, 2000 in the Sachsenhalle. The Romanian team won. As the most successful player, the Romanian Mihaela Steff received the special prize of 1,000 DM. A total of 3,000 spectators meant a record at the events so far. The lack of top players from Hungary and Croatia was lamented, but Germany did not offer Qianhong Gotsch because of other dates.
In Group A, the German team finished first after a 3-1 win over Russia and a 3-0 win over Italy. In the semi-finals, she beat Hungary 3-1. The final against Romania was lost 3-2.
