The Evangelical Church is located in the Teveren district in the city of Geilenkirchen in North Rhine-Westphalia . It stands as a monument under monument protection .

location

The hall-like church is located at Welschendriesch 7 in Teveren. Next to the church are the premises of the Protestant parish.

history

In the religious comparison of 1672, the Reformed were allowed to practice their religion in Teveren, who had already bought a building here as a preaching house in 1661. In 1686/87 a simple little church was built. With the construction of a church in Hünshoven , the rectory was also moved to there.

architecture

The church is a small rectangular brick building with a gable roof and a ridge turret . The gables are set off with simple block friezes . The year 1686 is shown in iron anchors . The entrance door with a stitch arch and bluestone edging , above a round arched window . The interior of the chapel is simple and unadorned. In the roof turret a small bell (Christ bell) from 1985 by the Rincken in Sinn company .
