Exposed is a 1979 live album by Mike Oldfield .

The album is a collection of recordings from Oldfield tours in Spain , Germany , Belgium , the Netherlands , Denmark and England between March and April 1979. It reached number 16 in the UK charts.

A double CD version was subsequently published. Later, in 2005, the DVD version of the concert at Wembley Conference Center in London was released under the name Exposed .

The song Guilty was released as a single between the albums Incantations and Exposed.

Originally, the concerts were recorded during the tour in such a way that the musicians involved did not know about it. As a result, less money could be paid to them. As the musicians found out in the meantime, they were only paid for their performances, but not for recording them. The recordings went ahead and the album was finally released.

A film strip is shown on the cover with a photo of Mike Oldfield in the concert hall. This refers to the ambiguous title exposed (in other words , exposed, but also exposed in photo technology).

Exposed was recorded with the help of Manor Studios and mixed at The Town House in London .

Re-releases in 2000 and 2016

In 2000 the album was released again as an HDCD remastered double CD on Virgin Records . In 2016 the album was re- released by Mercury Records as a double LP on 180 g vinyl. As part of an agreement, Virgin Records had given the label the entire back catalog of Mike Oldfield.
