FEI Nations Cup 2013 (Eventing)

The FEI Nations Cup 2013 in Eventing (2013 FEI Nations Cup ™ Eventing) was the second season of Nations Cup eventing .

Course of the tournament series

Also in this second season all exams took place in Europe. The special stages were advertised as CICO 3 * or CCIO 3 *. In 2013, the series extended from March 21st to October 13th and thus included the entire green season (period in which horse shows can be held outside of halls due to weather conditions).

The winning team received eleven points in each of the valuation jumps, the following teams a decreasing number of valuation points. The teams received 1000 minus points in the test for each participant who did not finish the test. Thus all teams have a result and receive points for the Nations Cup.

The exams

1st test: France

The French national eventing tournament has been held in Fontainebleau since 2009 . In 2013 the tournament was held from March 21 to 24, 2013.

As in the previous year, the victory in the Concours International de Complet Officiel de Fontainebleau went to Michael Jung .

The German team, which was in first place in the interim ranking in all sub-disciplines, also won as in the previous year. The French also showed a strong team performance and came in second just behind the Germans.

2nd test: United Kingdom

The British leg of the Nations Cup 2013, the Houghton International Horse Trials , took place from May 23rd to 25th, 2013. The venue is Houghton Hall in Norfolk . As in the previous year, the British team won.

3rd test: Poland

The Polish Nations Cup competition took place at the Strzegom Horse Trials in 2013. This was carried out from May 30th. On June 1, 2013, the CICO 3 * was canceled because weather conditions did not allow it to continue.

The German Nations Cup tournaments in five disciplines, including versatility, take place in Aachen. Versatility tests have been held in Aachen's Soers since 2005: In September 2005, the test test for the 2006 World Equestrian Games was held, which was held here twelve months later. The German Nations Cup in eventing has been an integral part of the CHIO Aachen since 2007 .

The second week of the CHIO tournament, in which the Nations Cup is held, will take place from June 25th to 30th in 2013. On the cross-country course of the Nations Cup, the fastest time (allowed time) in particular was a considerable difficulty for the participants, only the Australian Christopher Burton, who was victorious in the end, stayed with Leilani within the allotted seven minutes.

5th test: Italy

The Italian Nations Cup for eventing riders also took place in 2013 in Montelibretti . The test was carried out from September 20-22, 2013. In the CICO 3 * test in Montelibretti, only 26 riders started, from this field three teams resulted. The British team won with a clear lead of over 30 minus points.

With the 2013 season, a Belgian tournament became part of the Nations Cup series for the first time: a CICO 3 * rating was carried out as part of the Internationaal Eventing Waregem in Waregem . A CIC 3 * was held here last year. The Nations Cup tournament was held from September 26th to 29th, 2013.

The tournament series concluded with Military Boekelo , the Netherlands' Nations Cup. A national ranking has been held here for years at the end of the green season . The tournament was held from October 11th to 13th, 2013.
