Theodor Wilhelm Ferdinand von Natzmer (born May 26, 1815 in Düsseldorf , † June 20, 1868 in Neisse ) was a Prussian major general .

Life

Ferdinand was a son of the Prussian Lieutenant Colonel Felix Ferdinand von Natzmer (1780–1815) and his wife Wilhelmine Henriette, born von Arentschildt (1793–1867), a daughter of the Russian Major General Wilhelm von Arentschildt . His uncle Oldwig von Natzmer was a Prussian infantry general .

Military career

Natzmer visited the Berlin cadet school and was on August 7, 1832 as Portepeefähnrich the 1st Guards Regiment walk the Prussian Army transferred. On January 18, 1859 he became commander of the Fusilier Battalion in the 28th Infantry Regiment. He was promoted to lieutenant colonel on October 18, 1861, and as such Natzmer took part in the war against Denmark in 1864. After the war he was promoted to colonel on November 28, 1864 with a patent from June 25, 1864 and appointed commander of the 3rd Lower Silesian Infantry Regiment No. 50 . In this position he took part in the battle of Königgrätz during the war against Austria in 1866 and was awarded the Order of the Red Eagle III. Excellent with swords. Natzmer married Marie von Dresky (1824–1847) on June 6, 1841 in Potsdam. The later Prussian Lieutenant General Oldwig von Natzmer (1842–1899) emerged from the marriage, and in 1871 he married Helene von Natzmer (* 1846).

After the death of his first wife, Natzmer married Georgine Christiani (1821–1886) in Potsdam on November 2, 1848, with whom he had the following children:
