The Paraná Fire Brigade Corps ( Portuguese : Corpo de Bombeiros da Polícia Militar do Paraná) is a subdivision of the Paraná Military Police (state police), whose remit is civil protection , prevention, fire fighting, search and rescue operations, and public aid, within the state of Paraná consists. The units are auxiliary and reserve forces of the Brazilian Army and are integrated in the system of public security and civil defense of Brazil. According to the 1988 Constitution, their relatives are state military employees, as are all other members of the Paraná State Police.
background
The establishment of a fire brigade was suggested by Emperor Peter II during his visit to Paraná in 1880.
The city council of Curitiba received the sum of 500 R $ from the emperor for the purchase of a fire pump . However, since this amount was quite low, it was only enough to buy a very small pump . Furthermore, it had some defective parts and was therefore unsuitable for use. In 1882 Law No. 679 was passed, which required some of the police to carry out fire-fighting exercises to meet the needs of the provincial capital.
In 1886 the police tried to purchase a pump from the Compania de Aprendizes Marinheiros de Paranaguá . After a detailed examination it turned out that some of the material of this pump was unsuitable for the application. After the proclamation of the republic in 1894, the establishment of a fire department was approved, which was affiliated to the Regimento de Segurança (Military Police of Paraná). Her staff increased so that she was raised to a company in 1906 . Although both the necessary equipment and the necessary financial resources were lacking, the Teuto-Brazilian Society was the only volunteer fire department in the city of Curitiba from 1897 to 1901 .
Paraná State Fire Brigade

Mission belt
The emergency belt is one of the most traditional parts of the fire department uniform, which has been used in Brazil since 1887, with the exception of a few minor changes. At the beginning it was a reinforced belt made of cotton and leather and was part of the safety equipment. Currently it is only worn for traditional reasons and to characterize the fire department uniform.
Although some corporations have already given up this tradition, originally there were only these two models:
