Florian Vollmer (born May 23, 1984 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen ) is a German ice hockey player who has been playing at SC Riessersee in the DEL2 and Oberliga Süd since 2009 .

Career

Vollmer began his career in the 2000/01 season at the age of 16 with SC Riessersee in the DNL , where he stayed until the 2003/04 season . During the season, the striker finally moved to EC Peiting in the league .

For the 2004/05 season , the left shooter was committed by EHC Munich , with whom he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . Despite this success, Vollmer left Munich after the season and signed a contract for the 2005/06 season with SC Riessersee .

After his time at SC Riessersee, the attacker returned to the 2nd Bundesliga and has been playing with a promotion license from Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg from the DEL at ETC Crimmitschau , where he is number 29 , since the 2006/07 season . In January 2009 he moved back to his hometown club SC Riessersee, with whom he had to be relegated after the 2009/10 season , but won the Oberliga championship the following year . During this season Vollmer not only developed into an important high performer in the team, but also one of the leading players.

In the playoffs, however, Vollmer injured his ankle in one of the semi-finals against EC Bad Nauheim . After a magnetic resonance examination , it turned out that he tore the syndesmosis tape .

On July 1, 2011 Vollmer announced his contract extension with his home club, but with the condition that SC Riessersee play in the 2nd Bundesliga in the coming season .

In August 2011 Vollmer, Josef Staltmayr , Harti Wild and Tim Regan were appointed interim coaches after Marcus Bleicher resigned from his position with immediate effect and no new head coach has yet been signed. This means that co-trainer Andreas Raubal will also be supported in his new role as co-trainer. After Jochen Vollmer was signed as the new goalkeeper in the summer of 2014 , Florian Vollmer changed his shirt number and since then no longer wears the # 29, which Jochen Vollmer now wears, but the # 9.
