The Trelew airport (officially Aeropuerto Almirante Marcos A. Zar) is an Argentine airport near the city of Trelew in Chubut province . Initially, the airport, which opened in 1938, was increasingly used by Argentine mail pilots. Since 1979 some of the Argentine naval aviation has also been stationed on the site. In the 2000s, the airport is used more and more as a civil commercial airport, and it is also expanded.
