The El Calafate Airport (officially Aeropuerto Internacional Comandante Armando Tola) is an Argentine airport near the town of El Calafate in the province of Santa Cruz . The airport, which is considered the most westerly in Argentina, is one of the central airports in Southern Patagonia and is frequented by tourists who visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site , Los Glacieres National Park , in the summer . The airport has replaced the older Lago Argentino airport since 2000.
