The Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini , known as Aeropuerto de Ezeiza , is located south-southwest of the autonomous city of Buenos Aires two kilometers east of the city of Ezeiza in the province of Buenos Aires and serves the Argentine capital as an international airport. It is therefore also the main international airport in Argentina, while most domestic flights are served by the city airport Aeroparque Jorge Newbery . Ezeiza is the main airport of Aerolíneas Argentinas .
The IATA code is EZE and the ICAO code is SAEZ . The IATA collective code for the domestic and international airports of Buenos Aires is BUE .
The airport currently has three terminals: A, B and C. Since September 2009 the airport has been rebuilt and renovated. The telescopic gates in Terminal B were demolished and a new international gate is being built for this, including three parking positions for the A380 . The airport has been expanding since 2018, including new parking facilities, a new tower and more gates. In the course of this, Terminal A is to be used entirely for national air traffic.
The German Foreign Office advises travelers to Argentina that only so-called Remise services ( chauffeur services ) from companies with a fixed stand in the arrivals area should be used to continue their journey to their destination .
Lufthansa flies to the airport daily with a Boeing 747-8 Intercontinental from Frankfurt .
