The Corrientes Airport (officially Aeropuerto Internacional Doctor Fernando Piragine Niveyro) is an Argentine airport near the city of Corrientes in the province of Corrientes . The airport, which opened in 1964, is mainly used for flights to Buenos Aires . It was completely renovated between 2009 and 2011. The airport is just 16 kilometers from Resistencia Airport.
