The La Rioja airport (officially Aeropuerto Capitán Vicente Almonacid Almandos) is an Argentine airport near the city of La Rioja in the same province . The airport has been served since 1948, the first terminal was only built in 1951. There has been a connection to Buenos Aires since 1952 . The current runway has been in use since 1969. The airport is operated by Aeropuertos Argentinas 2000 .
