The Comodoro Rivadavia airport (actually: Aeropuerto Internacional General Enrique Mosconi) is an Argentine airport near the city of Comodoro Rivadavia in Chubut province . The airport, considered to be one of the most active in the Argentine Patagonia , is the hub of the LADE airline .

history

The after Argentine military engineer Enrique Mosconi named airport was built in 1929 and initially boosted by post fliers of Aeroposta Argentina used. The novel Nachtflug by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry , in which the airport also plays a role, also plays a role of such a flight . After the establishment of the Argentine Air Force Fuerza Aérea Argentina in 1945, a brigade was also stationed at Comodoro Rivadavia Airport. The airport has been operated by the Argentine airport operating company Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 since the early 2000s . The airport has been renewed since 2015. It is the main hub of the Argentine national airline LADE .
