The airfield Blomberg-Borkhausen is a special airfield in Blomberg - Borkhausen in the district of Lippe and is operated by the Luftsportgemeinschaft Lippe-Südost eV .
Sightseeing flights
Glider flights are possible from April to the end of October if the weather is good. Sightseeing flights with the motor glider are possible all year round with a few exceptions.
Management
During the flying season from March to October, the club canteen is open on weekends. The association maintains a sun terrace directly on the airfield with a view of the city of Blomberg .
Flight school
The Luftsportgemeinschaft Lippe-Südost eV trains pilots for gliding and motor gliding. Training in powered flight is provided in cooperation with the Rietberg Aeroclub at Paderborn / Lippstadt Airport . There is a cooperation with the Hermann-Vöchting-Gymnasium Blomberg for glider training. In a student flight association, students can obtain a glider license. The association maintains (as of October 2018) five gliders, one motor glider and one motor aircraft. Other private motor planes and gliders are stationed at Blomberg-Borkhausen airfield.
