The Kamp-Lintfort airfield is a special airfield approx. 3 km north of the urban area of Kamp-Lintfort and 5 km southwest of Rheinberg .
history
The Kamp-Lintfort airfield was put into operation in 1969 . The construction of the airfield that took place in the previous years was done in-house by the former Luftsportgemeinschaft Kr. Moers , which renamed itself to Luftsportgemeinschaft Kamp-Lintfort after moving to the Kamp-Lintfort airfield . The club was originally a pure glider club . When the association moved into the new premises, an engine flight department was created, which is why the airport infrastructure was expanded to include the corresponding facilities.
After a few changes of ownership of the company premises, the association was able to buy the airfield in 1998 . The air sports association Kamp-Lintfort has been the operator and owner of the airfield ever since.
Infrastructure
The Luftsportgemeinschaft Kamp-Lintfort operates a petrol station with the types Avgas 100LL, Mogas and Diesel.
Flight school
The club operates its own flight school and offers the following licenses: SPL (formerly PPL-C), LAPL-S, PPL-A, LAPL-A, ultralight license
Flight operations
Around 20 powered aircraft and around 10 gliders are permanently stationed at Kamp-Lintfort airfield . These are either owned by the association or privately owned by association members.
It is operated at the airfield powered flight , motor glider flight , microlight flight and glider flight . Hot air balloons can use the area on request.
