The Attendorn-Finnentrop airfield is a special airfield in the area of the municipality of Finnentrop , near the border with the city of Attendorn in the Sauerland . It is approved for aircraft up to 2000 kg. The airfield is located on the Wiethfeld between the industrial area Ennest, Heggen and the Ahaus reservoir .
There are no scheduled or charter flights. The airfield is used for air sports with gliders and powered aircraft.
On July 20, 2019, a stationed at the airfield Attendorn-Finnentrop and launched crashed light aircraft of type Jodel DR 1050 when landing on the airfield Bruchsal from. The 80-year-old pilot and two other inmates were killed.
