history

In 2005, Framing Hanley was founded in the American city of Nashville , Tennessee under the name "Embers Fade". Initially, the group was classified as post-grunge and hard rock . The band was founded by Chris Vest ( drums ), Luke McDuffee ( bass guitar ) and Kenneth Nixon ( vocals ). The two guitarists Brandon Wootten and Tim Huskinson joined the band a little later. When the band was formed, all five musicians were still in college .

The band was given its current name at the end of 2006. The name is a "Requiem" to a friend of the musicians, Ashley Hanley, who was killed in a car accident. In 2007, the group signed a record deal with the label Silent Majority Group of Florida . On May 15, 2007, the debut album, "The Moment", was released on November 18, 2008 via Silent Majority. The album debuted at # 169 on the Billboard US charts. In 2008 Huskinson was replaced by Ryan Belcher on guitar. At this point the group recorded a cover version of Lil Wayne's song "Lollipop", which had been listened to over a million times on MySpace in a very short time. Due to its success, Lollipop was also released as a single. In the singles charts, the song rose to number 82 on the US singles chart. In mid-2009, Lollipop was awarded a gold record in the United States . The group has played with Saving Abel and Red Jumpsuit Apparatus .

The follow-up album "A Promise to Burn", which was released on May 25, 2010, landed at number 57 on the US charts. This album was also released through Silent Majority. On June 4, 2011, Framing Hanley played together with August Burns Red , All That Remains , Black Veil Brides , KIZ , We Butter the Bread with Butter and Silverstein on the "Clubstage" at Rock am Ring . A week later, on June 11, 2011, an appearance on Nova Rock followed . There the group played on the "Blue Stage" with Linkin Park , Dredg , 30 Seconds to Mars , Centao , Wolfmother , Guano Apes , Plain White T’s and again Silverstein.

On April 6, 2015, the band announced their breakup. The group completed one final tour of the United States , which ended on May 22, 2015. Three years later, on April 11, 2018, the musicians announced the reunification of the band.
