Franz Jenull (born May 21, 1949 in Kamering; † January 10, 2017 in Wörgl ) was an Austrian painter.

Life

Coming from an old Carinthian family ( Johann and Sebastian Jenull ), Franz Jenull was born in Kamering ( Paternion ), where he spent his early childhood. He later moved with his family to Praxmar in St. Sigmund im Sellrain . At the age of 14 he began his training as a machine fitter in Innsbruck . He practiced this profession until he began his studies in 1980 at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia , with Emilio Vedova (painting) and Nedo Fiorentin (anatomy). In 1984 he graduated with distinction in painting, restoration and anatomy . Since 1985 freelance artist. Since 1988 member of the Tyrolean artists . Lived and worked in Innsbruck, Florence (1997–2015) and Wörgl. He lived the motto L'Art pour l'Art (ars gratia artis) and perfected for himself, also with the help of philosophy , the anatomical drawing and artistic printmaking (aquaforte), in order to keep himself strictly for the abstract painting Sense of the Italian Informel , to charge.
