Free hospitality
In Austria, the term free hospitality is the practice of a trade without a certificate of qualification in the hospitality industry .
Law
In order to be allowed to operate a hospitality industry, one needs a professional qualification according to the hospitality industry regulation . This can be achieved through training, school, apprenticeship or work. There is also the possibility of the proficiency test , which requires the completion of the 18th year of life.
This certificate of qualification is not required for the independent hospitality industry. The exercise of the trade is tied to a specific location and must be reported to the responsible district administrative authority (e.g. district administration ).
Details are regulated in the trade regulations 1994 ( § 111 paragraph 2).
Permissions

- Vegetable patties , pizza slices , lángos , kebabs
- Goulash and bean soups , if these are delivered ready- made and only heated
- French fries
- Common cold additions in a simple way, such as pickled vegetables , mayonnaise , mustard , horseradish , bread and pastries
- Meat and sausage products
- Meat and sausage mayonnaise salads
- open sandwiches , donuts
- delivered ice cream or soft ice cream
- Spreads
