Fresno is a municipality (municipio) in the department of Tolima in Colombia .

geography

Fresno is in the north of Tolima , in the province of Norte at an altitude of 1465  m above sea level. NN . The municipality borders on Marquetalia in the Departamento de Caldas to the north, Mariquita to the east, Falan , Palocabildo and Casabianca to the south, and Herveo and Manzanares in Caldas to the west .

Fresno is also called La Calle Real de Colombia (The Royal Road of Colombia) because of its location , as it is on the section of the Panamericana between Manizales and Bogotá and at the same time on the way from the Caribbean coast to the south of the country.
