Friederike Becht (born October 14, 1986 in Bad Bergzabern ) is a German actress .

Life

Becht, who comes from the Palatinate village of Winden , studied acting at the Berlin University of the Arts from 2004 to 2008 . She has worked as a freelance theater actress at the Ernst Deutsch Theater Hamburg, the Schauspielhaus Zurich , the Berliner Ensemble and the Stadttheater Freiburg , among others . Her first major success was in 2007 when she appeared as Thekla in Peter Stein's Wallenstein at the Berliner Ensemble, for which she was nominated for best young actress by the magazine Theater heute . In 2009/10 she was a member of the ensemble at the Schauspiel Essen . There she played Solveig in Peer Gynt , the title role in Die kleine Hexe and the leading role Tanja in the Lutz Hübner premiere Nachtgeschichte . In the following season she moved with director Anselm Weber to the Schauspielhaus Bochum , of which she has been a permanent member of the ensemble since then is. In Bochum she played Ljudmila (Wassa's daughter) in Wassa Schelesnowa , Cecily Cardew in Bunbury , Maria in Was ihr wollt , the leading role Vera Herbst in Haus am See and Maria in Yerma .

Becht also appeared in several television and cinema films. In 2008 she got a supporting role (Angela Berg) in the German-American co-production Der Vorleser . The following year she portrayed Gerda Reich in the television biography Mein Leben - Marcel Reich-Ranicki . In 2011 she played her first leading role on the big screen in the feature film Westwind : that of the East German rower Doreen, who turned into a West German during a stay in Hungary in love. Becht's biological twin sister also auditioned, but Luise Heyer got the second female lead (Doreen's twin sister) instead .

In the movie Hannah Arendt in 2012, Becht shared the role as a young Hannah Arendt with the leading actress Barbara Sukowa in the large-scale TV production Der Wagner-Clan. In 2013 she added a family story to Iris Berben as the young Cosima Wagner . In 2015 she played the title role in the ARD biopic about Käthe Kruse .

Friederike Becht is married to the comedian Sebastian Rabsahl . The couple have two children.
