Friedrichsaue is a hamlet in the town of Zierenberg in the northern Hessian district of Kassel .

Geographical location

Friedrichsaue is located in the north of the Zierenberger Grund natural area, which is part of the Habichtswälder Bergland, and in the Habichtswald Nature Park  - about 2 km northwest of the Zierenberger core town and just under 3 km (depending on the beeline ) east-northeast of Oberelsungen . It extends on the lower north-northeast slope of Großem ( 568.7  m ) and Kleinem Gudenberg ( 531.8  m ) to heights of about 274 to 307  m above sea level. NHN ; the remains of the Großer Gudenberg and Kleiner Gudenberg castles are located on the mountains . To the north and northeast, the landscape drops into the lower valley of the 3.4 km long Landwehr ditch, which comes from the northwest slope of the Kleiner Gudenberg and flows into the warmth at the Zierenberger Hof Rangen ; This stream is fed by a 1 km long tributary, which rises on the northeast slope of the Kleiner Gudenberg , passes Friedrichsaue to the west and flows north-northwest of the hamlet. Beyond the Landwehrgraben in the north lies the Falkenberg ( 361.6  m ) with the remains of the Falkenberg Castle . The Zierenberger Warte is located about 900 m east-southeast of the hamlet .

History and population development

Friedrichsaue was first mentioned in 1777 when it was created as a colony under Landgrave Friedrich II . In 1779 there were 10 households and in 1895 there were 53 residents. 39 residents are currently registered.

Personalities

In 1957, Mark von Wietersheim (1897–1969; German farmer, landowner and politician) lived as a retired district administrator . D. in Friedrichsaue.

Traffic and walking

The state road  3214 runs directly south-south-west of Friedrichsaue between Zierenberg and Oberelsungen.There are roads connected to this road - driving through Ober- and Niederelsungen - connection to the 6.8 km west-north-west of the hamlet, the Breuna junction of the federal motorway 44 , which is south-west of the hamlet the L 3214 bridged; You can also take the L 3214 and, driving through the city center, the L 3220 and from Ehlen on the federal road 251 to the Zierenberg junction of the A 44, 6.5 km south of the hamlet . The Friedrichsaue road branches off from the L 3214 at a height of 306.6  m in a north-northeastern direction , which runs as a cul-de-sac down through the hamlet, the houses of which are almost exclusively to the west of the road. Between the Oberelsungen and Zierenberg stops , the Volkmarsen – Vellmar-Obervellmar railway runs through Friedrichsaue, which has no stopping point. The 7.8 km long Zierenberg Z1 circular hiking trail runs around 400 m northeast of Friedrichsaue and leads past the Zierenberger Warte into the city center.
