2018 Asian Women's Football Championship / Qualification

The qualification for the 2018 Asian Women's Football Championship was played in April 2017. 18 national teams played for four places for the finals. Two other teams withdrew after the group draw. In addition, Jordan took part in the qualifying games, which was automatically qualified as host of the Asian Cup, but was able to win match practice. The qualification was also the first round of qualification for the 2019 World Cup. Japan , Australia and the PRC were automatically qualified.
The draw for the qualification took place on January 21, 2017. Since Jordan became group winners, the second-placed team in this group also qualified for the Asian Cup, while only the group winners qualified in the other groups. Qualification began on April 3 and ended on April 12, 2017.
All games took place at the Pamir Stadium in Dushanbe in Tajikistan . For Tajikistan it was the first international matches for the women's national team. The team from Jordan prevailed confidently without losing points.
All games took place at the Kim Il-sung Stadium in Pyongyang , North Korea . North Korea could not use their home advantage and were the only team to retire undefeated and only because of the worse goal difference. The game between North and South Korea was the first game between two Korean teams in North Korea, previously the Korean teams had only played against each other in South Korea or on neutral courts.
All games took place at the Vietnam YFTC Field no.3 in Hanoi , Vietnam . Vietnam used their home advantage and qualified for the Asian Cup without losing points.
