Günter Stampf
Günter Anthony Stampf (born August 28, 1968 in Neunkirchen ; † July 28, 2012 in Hamburg ) was an Austrian television and film producer , documentary filmmaker , author, director and entrepreneur.
Life
Günter Stampf worked from 1985 to 1987 as a columnist and editor for Niederösterreichische Nachrichten . He graduated from the Federal Commercial Academy in Wiener Neustadt . He then began studying business administration and English at the University of Vienna . From 1988 to 1991 he was the music director of the youth magazine Rennbahn Express . In 1992 he switched to the BUNTE magazine as an editor , for which he worked until 1996, and headed the lifestyle department . He was fired for manipulating parts of an interview with Tom Cruise to create the impression that the film star was impotent.
From 1993 to 1994 he was also chief reporter for the BILD newspaper . He worked as deputy editor-in-chief at Thomas Gottschalk ( Gottschalk Late Night , ZDF special Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber ). From 1996 to 1997 Stampf was editor- in- chief at ORF (Talkshow Vera ).
In 2001 he founded in Hamburg, a TV and media companies, operating under the name Stampfwerk media production and marketing GmbH (short Stampfwerk ) changed its name. As a television producer, he was responsible for over 3,000 hours of television programs from 1999 to October 2011, including series such as Die Schulermittler ( RTL ), The Lives of the Super Rich (RTL), Die Beauty Klinik ( RTL II ), Megaman (RTL II), Murder Judgment ( Sat. 1 ), young mothers - totally overwhelmed (Sat1./ SIXX ) or four daily talk shows for Austria's largest private broadcaster ATV + . He worked as executive producer for the award shows World Awards and Women's World Awards and advised the aid organization Ein Herz für Kinder .
As a documentary filmmaker, Stampf gained fame through the productions Der Amoklauf von Erfurt (see Amoklauf von Erfurt ) (RTL) and Der Kannibale von Rotenburg (see Armin Meiwes ), which were broadcast in 24 countries worldwide. As an author, he accompanied Gerhard Schröder and Helmut Kohl in the Bundestag election campaign for the BILD newspaper and was represented at the Winter Olympics and World Cup with series and daily columns.
As a book author, he wrote the biography of the No Angels in 2003 under the title Once Heaven and Back . In 2007 there was an interview with a cannibal , which had to be partially blacked out after Meiwes' injunction. Meiwes' brother received damages for violating personal rights.
From 2010 Stampf expanded his company's business areas to include scripted reality , film and feature film as well as advertising activities. Middle July 2012 had Stampfwerk because of increasing competition, the lack of orders and declining customer budgets Insolvency Register. Stampf then committed suicide . In a radio broadcast from October 2014, relatives of Stampf also reported that Stampf, as a child, had repeatedly been the victim of sexual abuse by an uncle's family and subsequently developed manic depression.
Stampf was married to Susanne Stampf-Sedlitzky and had two children.
