Gosch Sylt (spelling: GOSCH) is a group of companies based in List on Sylt , which is active in the catering and fish trade.

Regional and international fish cuisine is offered at 40 locations in Germany and on some cruise ships .

The Gosch branches are mainly located at (bathing) locations or traffic hubs that are relevant to tourism. From the small bistro to the restaurant with table service, they cover a wide range of gastronomic options. On Sylt there is also a pub and two markets for fish, seafood and merchandise products ; In addition, the company operates its own seafood factory in Ellingstedt near Schleswig and online shipping.

history

Company founder Jürgen Gosch first came to Sylt as a professional bricklayer in 1966 . In his spare time he sold smoked eels from a tray on the beach . Gradually, he expanded his offer due to the brisk demand. In 1967 he quit his job as a bricklayer and started his own business as a mobile eel seller on Sylt.

In 1972 he opened the “northernmost fish stall in Germany” at Lister Hafen . From 1984 further bistro and restaurant locations followed on Sylt. After Jürgen Gosch was occasionally present with stands at events on the German mainland, the first operations were also opened there in the late 1980s.

Company structure

The group of companies is divided into several companies, including Jürgen Gosch Alte Bootshalle GmbH Sylt and Gosch Verwaltungs GmbH & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft .

All locations that are not on the island of Sylt , as well as shipping, are operated by licensees via Gosch LFG GmbH .

The seafood manufactory in Ellingstedt operates independently as Gosch Sylt processing company GmbH . All locations and dispatch are supplied from there with their own logistics fleet.

Jürgen Gosch is still active in the company today and works regularly in the Sylt locations in List.
