Gangneung City FC is a soccer franchise based in Gangneung , South Korea . The franchise currently plays in the Korea National League , the third highest division in South Korea.
history
The franchise was founded in 1999 and has played in the Korea National League since the 2003 season . Before that, from 1999 to 2002 it only participated in the cup. In 2004 they became vice-champions for the first time. They won the title for the first time in 2009. It is their only title so far.
