Mokpo City FC is a soccer franchise based in Mokpo , South Korea . The franchise currently plays in the Korea National League , the third highest division in South Korea.
history
The franchise was founded on December 24, 2009 and has played in the Korea National League since the 2010 season .
In her first season in 2010, she reached 14th place in the Korea National League. The following season the club finished in 13th place. The 2012 season was better than the previous seasons, as they finished 8th in 2013 and 6th. The 2014 season they only finished 8th. 2015 was their best season so far: They finished 4th and qualified for the championship. However, they lost their play-off game 2-0 to Gyeongju Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power FC . 2016 turned into a disaster season. They had the second best defense in the league, but also the worst offensive in the league. They ended up in 9th place. So far they could only qualify once for the Korea National League Championship.
