The GVV Hardheim-Walldürn is a community administration association in the Neckar-Odenwald district in Baden-Württemberg and is located in the Neckartal-Odenwald Nature Park and UNESCO Geo-Nature Park Bergstrasse-Odenwald .

history

At the beginning of 1973, the then mayor of Walldürn , Alfred Hübner, discussed the establishment of administrative communities with representatives of the communities of Hardheim , Höpfingen , Hainstadt , Hettingen , Rinschheim , Buchen and Mudau in order to improve inter-municipal cooperation . It was agreed that such administrative communities would have considerable weight in the Odenwaldkreis (former name of the Neckar-Odenwald-Kreis) and could be the opposite of the economic focus of the Elz estuary.

In a further consultation in the town hall in Höpfingen , which was attended by the mayors of Walldürn , Hardheim and Höpfingen as well as representatives of the municipal councils, the first concrete results for the formation of a community administration association between the communities of Hardheim and Höpfingen and the city of Walldürn were achieved.

Various suggestions were made about the name of the association, its seat and the tasks to be carried out by the individual communities. They did not meet for official talks until almost a whole year later, on February 4, 1974. During this conversation, Mayor Huebner in Höpfingen reported to the delegations from Hardheim , Höpfingen and Walldürn about discussions with the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior in Stuttgart . He had received the information that the seat issue of the municipal administration association had to be resolved before February 13, 1974, as the bill had to be introduced on February 15, 1974 in the plenary session of the state parliament.

After the sudden death of Mayor Alfred Huebner, the negotiations on the formation of a community administration association were continued by the then appointed administrator Robert Hollerbach. On September 9, 1974, the municipalities jointly submitted an application to the Ministry of the Interior to determine whether the requirements for a lower administrative authority for the Hardheim-Walldürn municipal administration association were met and expressly agreed to the formation of one for the association. This letter was signed by the mayors Karl Schell and Ernst Hornberger as well as the official administrator Robert Hollerbach.

In response to this application, the Ministry of the Interior announced by decree of December 16, 1974: The state government determined by resolution of December 10, 1974 that the Hardheim-Walldürn municipal administration association met the requirements of Section 14a (1) sentence 1 of the State Administration Act. This decision was published in the Law Gazette of Baden-Württemberg on December 20, 1974.

The municipal administration association Hardheim-Walldürn was put into service on January 1, 1975 with the lower administrative authority.

The administrative association is based in Walldürn ; the association administration is housed in the administrative building at Friedrich-Ebert-Straße 11 in Walldürn. Based on the current regional plan for the Rhine-Neckar metropolitan region , the city of Walldürn and the municipality of Hardheim form a cooperating sub-center.

On December 18, 2015, the Hardheim-Walldürn local authority association celebrated its 40th anniversary with a ceremony in the Erftalhalle in Hardheim.
