Georg Schickert
Georg Schickert (born September 9, 1860 in Willenberg , East Prussia , † July 14, 1926 in Schöneiche near Berlin ) was a German administrative lawyer and member of the Reichstag in East Prussia.
Life
Schickert attended high school in Hohenstein . After graduating from high school , he first enrolled at the Kaiser-Wilhelms-Universität Strasbourg , where he was temporarily a fox in the Corps Rhenania Strasbourg . He moved to his native Albertus University and in November 1880 became a member of the Corps Baltia Königsberg . Without a tape he went to the University of Leipzig and the Friedrich Wilhelms University in Berlin . He served as a one-year volunteer in the Fusilier Regiment "Graf Roon" (East Prussian) No. 33 in Gumbinnen and became a lieutenant in the reserve . He passed the legal traineeship in 1883 and left the judicial service of the Crown of Prussia in 1885 . From 1885 he was a government trainee in Osterode i. Ostpr. At that time he became a corps bow bearer at Baltia. In 1887 he came to Aachen as a government assessor . In 1890 he was provisional, in 1891 he was finally district administrator in the Niederung district with his official seat in Heinrichswalde (until 1899); later he was also dike captain . In 1900 he went as a Councilor for Wiesbaden . In 1901 he became senior government councilor and deputy district president in the Gumbinnen district . For the German Conservative Party , he represented the Reichstag constituency Gumbinnen 1 in the Reichstag (German Empire) from 1903 to 1912 . In 1906 he received the Baltenband. When he resigned from civil service in 1907, he received the Royal Crown Order, 3rd class. From 1907 to 1922 he was General Director of the East Prussian Fire Society in Königsberg i. Pr. As such, he had to take on tasks in the First World War that were connected with the reconstruction of the part of the province of East Prussia that had been destroyed by the Russians in 1914 . For this he received the Iron Cross on a white ribbon. He retired in Schöneiche near Berlin.
