Georgios Chalkidis ( Greek Γεώργιος Χαλκίδης , born May 13, 1977 in Ptolemaida , Greece ) is a former Greek handball player . He last played in the National League A for Wacker Thun . For the Greek national team , he played 220 internationals. His playing position was on the circle . He ended his career after the 2015/16 season.

Chalkidis has been coaching the Greek U21 national team since October 2017.

Chalkidis is married and has two children.
