Max Schär
Max Schär (born June 12, 1953 in Zofingen ) is a former Swiss handball player and handball trainer . The doctor of biochemistry was the association director of the Swiss handball association from 2006 to 2009 .
Athletic career
The 1.96 m tall left-hander played in the right backcourt for the Swiss clubs TV Zofingen , RTV 1879 Basel , Pfadi Winterthur , GG Bern and BSV Bern and was twice Swiss champions. In 275 NLA games he scored 1,060 goals. As a coach he won another title in 1992 with scouting. Schär is the record player for the Swiss Confederation. In the Swiss men's national handball team , he played 279 international matches between 1973 and 1986 , in which he scored 723 goals. He participated in the Olympic Games in 1980 in Moscow and 1984 in Los Angeles part.
Professional career
Max Schär studied biochemistry at the University of Basel and later did his doctorate. After various positions, he worked as CEO for a Swiss medical technology company. From 2004 he was President of the Swiss Association of Handball Internationals and a member of the board of the Association of Swiss Olympic Participants. From April 1, 2006, he was the association director of the Swiss handball association. He resigned from this post on September 30, 2009.
