Robert Kostadinovich

Robert Kostadinovich (born September 7, 1973 in Interlaken ) is a Swiss handball trainer and former handball player of Serbian descent.

The 1.88 m tall and 92 kg heavy right-hander was mostly used in the middle of the back area.

From 1987 "Robbie" Kostadinovich played for the Swiss club TV Suhr , with which he celebrated the Swiss championship in 1999 and 2000. From 1995 to 1997 he played for GC Amicitia Zurich . He then returned to TV Suhr, where he also worked as an assistant coach from 2004. In 2006 he ended his playing career after a cruciate ligament rupture and a partial torn Achilles tendon . Amicitia then signed him as a new coach. After two years he left the club after winning the championship and the cup.

In the NLA's all- time goalscorer list, Kostadinovich is fifth with 1,866 goals in 344 games.

In the Swiss national team he made his debut on October 8, 1993 against Germany and played 181 international matches , in which he scored 771 goals. He took part in the 1995 World Championships (7th place), the 1996 Olympic Games (8th place) and the 2002 (13th place) and 2004 (12th place) European Championships . In 2004 he was the fourth top scorer of the tournament with 40 goals.
