Yvonne Leuthold (born January 30, 1980 in Bern , Switzerland ) is a former Swiss-British handball player .

Career

Leuthold initially played for DHB Rotweiss Thun in the Swiss National League A. In the summer of 2009, the backcourt player moved to the German second division club SG BBM Bietigheim . After a season with SG BBM, the left-hander moved to league rivals SV Allensbach . In the summer of 2011 she moved to Great Britain to prepare for the Olympic Games with the British national team. After the Olympic Games she returned to DHB Rotweiss Thun. After the 2015/16 season, Leuthold ended her active career there, but she stayed with the club as an athletic trainer. In November 2016, she took over a position on the EHF Court of Handball .

Yvonne Leuthold played a total of 34 international matches for the Swiss national team between 2004 and 2008 . From 2008 she ran for the British national handball team . She was part of the British squad that took part in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London .
