Gerhard Lau (actor)

Gerhard Lau (born January 13, 1926 in Königsberg , † February 25, 2005 in Berlin ) was a German actor .

Life

In the mid-1950s, Gerhard Lau came from the Stralsund Theater via the Rostock Volkstheater to the Dresden State Theater . He stayed here until 1964, when he went to the Deutsches Theater in Berlin, to which he remained loyal until the end of his stage career. In addition to his stage work, he made several films for DEFA and above all for television.

Gerhard Lau was married to Elsa Lau, a trained singer and actress, who had her first engagement at the theater in Stralsund.
