With the law on the new regulation of the communal boundaries in the Rhenish-Westphalian industrial districts of February 26, 1926 ( PrGS. P. 53), the administrative districts of Düsseldorf , Münster and Arnsberg were redistributed. The consequences were the loss of the independence of cities or the acquisition of district freedom as well as the dissolution and reshaping of districts.

Formation of new city districts

  • Formation of the new urban district 1 Wanne-Eickel from three rural communities (§§ 6 to 8)
  • Formation of the new city district Wattenscheid from the city community Wattenscheid, seven rural communities and an area part of the community Königssteele (§§ 9 to 12)

Dissolution of a district

Repealed Regulations

  • The township of Steele was enlarged to include the rural community of Königssteele and the district of Haferfeld of the rural community of Sevinghausen . It was stipulated that Steele could not become independent before 1936 (§§ 1 to 4). However, Steele were incorporated into Essen on August 1, 1929 and the Essen district dissolved.
  • The new municipality of Kastrop-Rauxel 1 emerged from the municipality of Kastrop and eight rural communities and parts of the rural community of Deininghausen . It was determined that Kastrop-Rauxel could not become a district before 1936 (§§ 21 to 23). However, on April 1, 1928 , Castrop-Rauxel 1 became a district and the Dortmund district was dissolved.
