Gianni Munari (born June 24, 1983 in Sassuolo , Italy ) is an Italian football player who is currently active for Parma Calcio .

Career

Munari learned to play football in the youth of the US Sassuolo Calcio , where he was transferred to the professional field in 2001. By 2003 he had played 49 games for Sassuolo and scored two goals. After that Munari never stayed longer than a year, so he played from 2003 to 2007 for four clubs, including Hellas Verona and US Palermo , where he was not used and therefore moved to US Lecce in 2007 . He stayed there for four years and was promoted to Serie A twice . Munari played 143 times in league games for Lecce and scored 17 goals. In the 2011/12 season he played for Fiorentina and in the following for Sampdoria Genoa . From 2013 to 2015 he was under contract with FC Parma .

In the summer of 2015 he joined Cagliari Calcio . With Cagliari Munari became champions of series B and rose to series A. In January 2017 he moved to Parma Calcio (formerly FC Parma ) in the Lega Pro .
