Girabola 1982

The Girabola 1983 was the fifth season of the Girabola , the top division of football in Angola . 14 teams took part, each of which competed against each other twice.

The Primeiro de Maio from Benguela won the championship for the first time, and was again Angolan cup winner , as in the previous year.

Especially due to the turmoil and destruction of the Angolan civil war (1975–2002) hardly any data of the season are recorded. It is noted the extraordinary fact that the championship team was able to win all games in the first half of the season. However, individual results are not noted.

Primeiro de Maio was Angolan champion at the end and therefore took part in the preliminary round of the African Cup of Champions Club in 1984.

The top scorer of the Girabola was Maluca from the championship team with 17 goals. He had previously won the title in the 1981 season , back then with 20 championship goals.
