The Girabola 1998 was the 20th season of Girabola , the top division of football in Angola . 16 teams took part, each of which competed against each other twice.

The CD Primeiro de Agosto won its seventh national championship. With Petro Luanda's cup victory , the Angolan Cup also went to the capital Luanda . The following Angolan Supercup decided Primeiro de Agosto for himself.
