The 1985 Girabola was the seventh season of the Girabola , the top division of football in Angola . 14 teams took part, each of which competed against each other twice.

Primeiro de Maio from Benguela became champion for the second time after 1983 . The Ferroviário da Huíla from Lubango was the first Angolan cup winner . The two clubs competed against each other in the first ever Supertaça de Angola , the Angolan Supercup . The winner was Primeiro de Maio, but the exact result is not recorded.

Petro Luanda's striker Jesus was again top scorer with 19 goals after winning that title in the previous 1984 season and before that in the 1982 season .
