The Girabola 2011 was the 33rd season of the Girabola , the highest Angolan league in football . 16 teams took part, each of which competed against each other twice. The season began on March 11th and ended on November 6th, 2011. The first championship was the Clube Recreativo Desportivo do Libolo from Calulo , capital of the Libolo district.
According to the decision of the continental association CAF , based on the lower CAF ranking of Angola, only the Angolan champions were eligible to participate in the CAF Champions League in 2012 , and only the Angolan cup winners to participate in the CAF Confederation Cup .
