The Girabola 2002 was the 24th season of the Girabola , the top division of football in Angola . 14 teams took part, each of which competed against each other twice. The season started on February 23 and ended on October 20, 2002.

The Atlético Sport Aviação from the capital Luanda won the championship for the first time. Petro Luanda was Angolan Cup winner and then won the Angolan Supercup .
