Glücksburg (Jessen)

Glücksburg is a district of Jessen (Elster) in Saxony-Anhalt belonging to Mügeln .

The place is named after the former Glücksburg hunting lodge , near which the Glücksburg glassworks was also located.

The hunting lodge was built in 1576–1580. The hunting lodge was destroyed in the Seven Years' War . At the beginning of the 19th century the Oberförsterei Glücksburg was built from the remains.

On May 1, 1974, Glücksburg was incorporated into the municipality of Mügeln .
