Neuerstadt is located approx. 15 km northeast of the city of Jessen and is connected to it via the B187 and the K2214.

history

Neuerstadt was first mentioned as a settlement in documents in 1377 under the name Nyenstat . This term probably originated from Dutch , with roughly the meaning: settlement on a new site .
