Steinsdorf is an agricultural district of the town of Jessen (Elster) in the Wittenberg district of Saxony-Anhalt .

Location and accessibility

Steinsdorf is located about 10 km northeast of the city of Jessen and is connected to it via the B 187 and K 2222.

history

As Rundling emerged Steindorf was first in 1378 under the name Steindorph mentioned in documents.

On May 1, 1974, Steinsdorf and Dixförda merged to form the municipality of Steinsdorf-Dixförda. This was incorporated into the city of Schweinitz on January 1, 1992. On January 1, 1993, Steinsdorf changed a little later with the incorporation of Schweinitz to Jessen (Elster) again the community membership.
